Camille Hamadé is a French-Lebanese director, screenwriter and producer active internationally. He was born in Cannes, grew up in Beirut, and dabbled in economics in Lausanne before pursuing a Bachelor in Filmmaking in London, followed by various positions on a variety of productions, from shorts to features and documentaries to commercials.

Camille is a BAFTA Connect Member and holds an MFA in Directing from Columbia University. He was selected to join the Co-Production program at La Fémis in Paris as well as the Atelier Ludwigsburg-Paris at the 2022 Cannes Film Festival. Camille’s films have participated in several film festivals, most notably with “Strain” (2017) selected to showcase at Pinewood Studios (UK), “Pendulum” (2018) shortlisted for Promofest’s Short Of The Year, “Shovel” (2023) award nominated at the USA Film Festival and “Sweeps” (2024) featured at SeriesFest.

Camille is the recipient of the 2023 BAFTA-Yugo Commissioning Grant for his latest film “To Fade Away”, which has also been awarded a Production Grant from the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, in partnership with the Museum of the Moving Image. It was among the projects featured at the 2025 Sloan Film Summit hosted by Film Independent. The film premiered at the Academy Award®-Qualifying Cleveland International Film Festival in the esteemed Groundbreaker Program, where it won the Audience Choice Award, as well as a cinematography award at the Television Academy in Los Angeles. It was also selected at other festivals such as DC Shorts and Newport Beach Film Festival.
